The pie looks much more appetizing than the mounds of cookies. And who doesn't love pecan pie!!
Monday, August 22, 2011 11:29 AM
The colors of #2 draw my eye to that choice
Monday, August 22, 2011 12:49 PM
Cover 1 colors are more fall-like. #2 is too dark, though I like the pie pic. Let's keep the sunshine while we can!
Monday, August 22, 2011 1:15 PM
The colors and the pie looks more appetizing.
Monday, August 22, 2011 3:37 PM
I like the colors and pie but I think the colors/cookies have more of a fall feelingon cover 1
Monday, August 22, 2011 4:13 PM
both are beautiful but choice cover 2
Monday, August 22, 2011 4:14 PM
Love the cookie cover! It's very rare to see a cover like that. Cookies are the ultimate comfort snack! Pecan Pie is not for everyone... yuck
Monday, August 22, 2011 5:36 PM
Both covers look great but I find myself more drawn to the pie picture, cover 2.
Monday, August 22, 2011 6:52 PM
The pie looks more appetizing
Monday, August 22, 2011 7:18 PM
Hello Chunky Chewy Cookies!!! That's all I have to say!
Monday, August 22, 2011 7:46 PM
I don't like pecan pie. So I choose cover 1.
Monday, August 22, 2011 8:23 PM
The Cookie photos in No. 1.definitely relate to the test on the cover while the pie pohoto doesn't. Therefore I would choose No. 1 for the comer.
Monday, August 22, 2011 8:25 PM
That should be "text" on the cover.
Monday, August 22, 2011 11:01 PM
I really like cover No 2. The pie reminds me more of fall then the cookies and I love the pops of purple color in the towel and font.
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 1:00 AM
I like pecan pie more than I like cookies. I like cookies also, but, I'd take the pecan pie over cookies.
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 4:13 AM
A pile of cookies reminds me of baking goodies for Christmas presents, while the pecan pie reminds me of how I plan my Thanksgiving meal(s) in advance. I like to try new receipes for family & friend events, so I make anything new several weeks in advance to see if its a winner. If so, I'll make it again for Thanksgiving. Definately Cover Number ***2***

Here lies the problem with America and our obesity issues. Desert, recipes, and pictures. Do we not cook main dishes anymore? I would much rather see a huge brisket sliced in a few pieces than a cookie or a piece of pie! Good God people, even the recipies I see being posted are all deserts. Don't y'all skip the deserts anymore?
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 6:41 AM
I agree that the cookie's do have more of a look to fall than the pie !! My choice is cover 1.
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 4:15 PM
I selected cover #2. I found it more eye apealing.I want to learn to bake pie crusts using gluten free flourI feel using organic brown sugar and honey will make the pie healthier.Pie on holidays should be guilt free eating. The pie really doesn't go with what is written.I don't use corn syrup because of its negative health issues from head to foot.I can make the pie for our free Thanksgiving meal at church for everyone that comes. Is this a recipe where apple sauce could be substited for the sugar? I will stick with cover #2.
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 8:24 PM
I really like the pie cover for the Fall Issue! Because that's what fall is all about... comfort foods. To me fall brings the family in to the kitchen with the aromas of good home cooking no matter if it is the main course or a dessert. I maybe bias but fall is my favorite season anyway! The cover could use some more color though maybe some fall leaves and some cranberriers (orange and reds). Fall food magzine covers don't necessarily always have to be about the Turkey.
Tuesday, August 23, 2011 10:42 PM
the pie is more homely and looks more appitizing
Wednesday, August 24, 2011 6:42 AM
I like pages that stir my intterest. The pie is good looking. also options for more recipes inside magazine..
Wednesday, August 24, 2011 9:19 AM
I think #2 would catch my eye more then #1 there are so many mag's with cookies on the front.
Wednesday, August 24, 2011 2:58 PM
I liked the pie cover because it caught my eye with more contrast of colors. The cookies look great too, so it was a tough decision. I think having that large cookie in the background was just too much along with all the words. The single piece of pie was simple and drew my eye to one place on the page...a single focal point. Nice contrast, nice effect with the whipped cream nicely draping itself off the edge of the slice. Heavenly! It makes me want to open the pages and look for more good eats. :)

Cover #1 looked more like a cover of the cooking club magazine, but cover #2 made my mouth water! Both of them look delicious, and as soon as I receive the magazine, I plan on making both recipes!!! :)
Wednesday, August 24, 2011 9:53 PM
Just really drawn to the pie!!
Thursday, August 25, 2011 1:37 AM
It's a wonderful time for pie!!
Thursday, August 25, 2011 2:30 AM
When I think of Fall, I think of Thanksgiving, and everything on cover 2 shouts Thanksgiving. Even the word Thanksgiving is in bigger print then on cover 1. And isn't pecan pie just the perfect ending to a great Thanksgiving dinner? Also the pumkin colored letters in Cooking Club stand out much more against the dark back ground then on cover 1. I got my degree in marketing, so I know what I'm talking about , cover 2 is the way to go. ;-)
Thursday, August 25, 2011 7:08 AM
I agree cover 2 is dark but punkin is a fall item all though cookies are good anytime..!!
Thursday, August 25, 2011 11:05 AM
When talking about Thanksgiving I always think pies. I really like cover 2. I do agree could be a brighter background but pie sells it for me.
Thursday, August 25, 2011 12:25 PM
The pie on 2 just screams southern and gives a nice lead into what the issue is talking about
Thursday, August 25, 2011 3:04 PM
Cover #2 looks like Thanksgiving. I can almost smell the pie in the oven and on the Thanksgiving table - picture perfect!
Thursday, August 25, 2011 3:27 PM
Cookies for a change for Fall issue. Besides, not a fan of and don't make pecan pie.
Thursday, August 25, 2011 9:42 PM
I pick the issue #2. But a bit of a suggestion. Like the back ground color of the soft brown of the #1 issue if you combine that and the Pie It would be a solid winner.
Friday, August 26, 2011 5:31 AM
I picked #2 even though I don't like pecan pie. The white whipped cream on the black background drew my eye to it.
Friday, August 26, 2011 8:06 AM
cover #2 is the one!!!!!! its the first one i saw it jumped right out.
Friday, August 26, 2011 10:15 AM
#2 LOOKS MORE LIKE THANKSGIVING THEME TO ME.
Friday, August 26, 2011 10:57 AM
Seems more like a holiday issue - Thanksgiving Yummy!
Friday, August 26, 2011 1:46 PM
jl I likw cover #1. It is so warm and appealing.
Friday, August 26, 2011 4:21 PM
I like # 1 for the happy colors the pie and plate are beautyful together
Friday, August 26, 2011 7:49 PM
The cover of #2 is the one as pecan pie is the start of the fall season
Friday, August 26, 2011 11:04 PM
Cover No. 2. Pecan pie is definetly southern, and 'fallish'.
Saturday, August 27, 2011 3:22 PM
I pick Cover 1 because I am not a fan of pecan pie. I also agree with the lady that stated you should be encouraging more healthly recipes.
Sunday, August 28, 2011 10:49 AM
I picked cover #2 because of the modern and clean, polished look of the cover.
Sunday, August 28, 2011 1:07 PM
The issue covers Fall 2011, and Fall includes Halloween. While you really can't give out slices of pecan pie, you can pass out PECAN PIE CHUNKSTERS for Halloween, and also have them on hand for Thanksgiving, and give them as gifts. I also agree with taliaris and the other cookie lovers out there, that cookies are the ultimate in comfort foods, especially warm, chewy cookies. I love pecan pie, but it isn't particularly a fall idea to me as I make it for Christmas, Easter, and other times during the year. Also, the text on both covers screams out chewy chunky cookies, while pecan pie is part of Thanksgiving for most of the country, not just the south. If you wanted to use a slice of pie on the cover, I would have suggested a slice of pumpkin pie, since it is mentioned on the cover and is more often thought of as a Thanksgiving pie. When all is said and done, however, I will also be making cookies and pies with this issue's recipes.
Sunday, August 28, 2011 2:56 PM
Pie beats cookies every time in mt opinion! But, also, who doesn't like Thanksgiving!!
Sunday, August 28, 2011 5:00 PM
well i dont realy like pecan pie but the pic makes it look so good => i like cover #2
Sunday, August 28, 2011 7:36 PM
from shadow436 in louisiana.........pecan pie is a favorite in my household. the cover w/the pecan pie is a must for fall and thanksgiving!!!!!
Monday, August 29, 2011 9:24 AM
looking at cover 2 hurts my teeth!
Thursday, September 01, 2011 5:37 PM
getting ready for thanksgiving now is the best and the pie looks yummy
Thursday, September 15, 2011 1:15 PM
I glanced quickly withouth reading the headliners and cover 2 catches the eye faster than cover 1. My vote is cover 2 and I don't even eat pecan pie because of the sugar content!
