Save the Peel
Don’t throw away that orange peel! Instead, preserve it—we’ll show you how.

Before you use an orange, remove the peel with a vegetable peeler. Let the peel dry for a few days on the countertop; then grind it in a clean coffee grinder and store it in a sealed jar. A pinch of the dried peel adds a nice touch to baked goods or steamed vegetables.
