Member Brenda de Buhr says this soup is great to serve at large parties. She concocted it for a neighborhood gathering and served it again for her husband’s 50th birthday party. Brenda likes the flavor she gets from cooking the vegetables in the bacon drippings. As an alternative to American cheese, Linda recommends combining Asiago, provolone and mozzarella.
