2/3  lb. ground beef chuck
2/3  lb. Italian sausage
2/3  lb. ground turkey
3/4  teaspoon salt
1/2  teaspoon freshly ground pepper
4  garlic cloves, minced
6  sandwich buns, split
Toasted Cumin Mayonnaise (recipe follows)

1. In large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, ground turkey, salt, pepper and garlic; mix well. Shape mixture into 6 (4-inch) patties. Place on large plate. Refrigerate 30 minutes or up to 2 hours to blend flavors.

2. Heat grill. Place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 8 to 10 minutes or until no longer pink in center, turning once.

3. Serve patties on buns, topped with Toasted Cumin Mayonnaise.

Toasted Cumin Mayonnaise
1 1/2  teaspoons ground cumin
1/2  cup mayonnaise
1/4  teaspoon minced garlic

1. Heat cumin in small dry nonstick skillet over medium heat 30 to 90 seconds or until cumin becomes very fragrant and lightly toasted, stirring constantly. Watch cumin carefully so it does not burn.

2. In small bowl, combine toasted cumin, mayonnaise, garlic and salt; stir to blend. Refrigerate until ready to serve. (Mayonnaise can be made up to 2 days ahead; cover and refrigerate.)

I Like all the products to use, but I do believe that we can reduce the amount of sodium in the sandwichich by reducing the salt. For the flavor of all the spices and meat should be lower the sodium in each sandwich. I must think about my blood pressure level. But good sandwich!

I totally agree with jdevine2. Mayo is very high in sodium with one tablespoon having 75 mg of sodium. Using a light mayo will lower the sodium while keeping the flavor.
