6 cinnamon sticks
16 cups water, divided
1 cup unsprayed dried whole hibiscus flowers*
2 cups honey
1 cup lemon juice

1 In medium saucepan, simmer cinnamon sticks in 4 cups of the water 10 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Add hibiscus flowers; cover and steep 30 minutes. Strain into pitcher; add honey and lemon juice. (Concentrate can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 1 week or frozen up to 3 months.)

2 To serve, add remaining 12 cups water to concentrate. Serve over ice. (For individual servings, combine 1/3 cup concentrate with 2/3 cup water.)

TIP *Dried hibiscus flowers can be purchased at your local natural foods store or co-op, or from Frontier Natural Products Co-op (800-669-3275 or www.frontiercoop.com).

Can i use the hibiscus flowers that i have in my garden?
